Safe Passage: Get Your Medication On Time

Here at Farma, we’re aware of Patient challenges when it comes to obtaining their prescription alternative therapies through mail services. There are several postage service options here in Australia – and did you know that Australia Post alone delivered half a billion packages in the last financial year?

This means that despite our best efforts, the process is not without its hurdles. With the sheer volume of parcels moving around Australia at any given time, there is the chance that your package could get lost in the system or delayed. So, here’s our guide to minimising these risks, and get your orders where they need to be – safe in your hands.

Clinic insights

Speak to your clinic, dispensary or pharmacy (depending on where you order your medication for delivery) about the postage service they use, and any recommendations for ensuring safe arrival each time. There may be more than on delivery option to choose from, or it may inform which clinic you choose to work with.

Accurate details

One of the main reasons for lost parcels or missed deliveries is inaccurate information provided during the ordering and checkout process. Ensure that your delivery details, including your address and contact information are up to date – especially if you’ve got a tricky address which needs additional clarification.

Tracking

At Farma, we utilise tracking links for all outgoing orders, which you can check up on – we recommend checking this during the journey of your package and allow for extra time for this to update within the system. For example: there can be a lag time between the posting of an item and the tracking updating for you to view – check back again in a few hours or a day.

Location, location, location

While it’s ideal to be able to take receipt of your packages directly, it’s not practical for many Patients who work away from home. If you find packages rarely reach your home address without complication, you may like enquire into getting a parcel locker at your local post office or testing an alternative shipping address – be sure to discuss any shipping address changes with your clinic ASAP.
